Baptisms We often find that families ask for their children to be Baptised because they want what is best for them. Baptism is a way of asking God to be involved in a family's life so these guidelines are here to explain what Baptism is and what parts the children, parents, godparents and church play in it. What is a Baptism? Baptism is an outward sign of an inner change. Like a sign which points to something more important than the sign itself, Baptism points to three changes in a person's life. We ask God to help us: 1) To stop living for ourselves. 2) To start living for God. 3) To join the family of God's people, that is, the church. |

Weddings "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. |
|
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." 1 Corinthians chapter 13 verses 4-8 St. John's has always been a popular place to hold weddings. If you would like to make enquiries about having your wedding here, please contact the Office on 5944 3862 (answer machine) and leave a message, also please read the guidelines at this link. |
