Jesus said 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me--John chapter 14 verse:6 Christianity is about the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the fulfilment of God's plan to rescue people. Only through Jesus Christ is it possible for us to have a full friendship with God. The Bible says that this is only possible because of Jesus' death on the cross, which enables us to be reconciled to God. "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God." 1 Peter chapter 3 verse 18 To become a Christian a person must: 1. Admit to God and yourself that you have been running your life your own way. You have not acknowledged or submitted to God's rightful rule over your life. You have been in rebellion and rejection of God "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans chapter 3 verse 23 2. Be willing to turn from your current ways to God's way. Jesus said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!" Mark chapter 1 verse 15 3. Let God know that you are putting your trust in Him by asking Jesus Christ to forgive your rebelliousness and to take control of your life. This is done through prayer, simply talking to God. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John chapter 1 verse 9 Once you have decided to follow Jesus, please let me know, so that I can show you how to grow in your friendship with God.
